My Fitness Diary - February 2015 Edition

So last month I promised that I would do more this month in the way of fitness and have more to tell you about and hold on tight because it has been another rollercoaster month for me on the fitness front!
So this month has seen me take on the Daily Greatness Training Journal which I started on the 2nd and so far so good. At first I struggled with the gratitude intentions and positivity aspect of the journal but I soon got into the swing of things. I find it really useful to see what I have done in terms of exercise versus what I've put into my body on a daily basis. It's really helped me get on track with my diet simply because I'm more mindful of what I'm eating, especially when I know I won't be training.

I've done four amazing workouts with my PT, Clare Craddock, this month. PT really helps keep me motivated as it always gives me new ideas to try out each week and Clare mixes it a little each week and we have done lots of training to help increase my stamina in the gym. I now want to start to make an impact on the core area as at the moment I'm really not impressed with how this is looking and summer is just around the corner!

One of the biggest challenges to overcome is routine and I am determined that during the next four weeks it will become a habit to head straight to the gym after work as opposed to for the sofa. The lighter nights will help of course and they say it takes 21 days to create a habit don't they?

I've finally got back into preparing my meals again which is definitely thanks to the Daily Greatness journal - smoothies at breakfast, salads at lunch and healthy, hearty tea. I might try and do some meal idea post next month so keep an eye out for those.

Oh and one last thing I have tried this month is Step Aerobics and oh my word this is one amazing workout for the heart and the legs! I'm going to do an Introduction to Step post mid-March so I'll tell you more about it then!
