My House Tour

I was so impressed with how the house looked this week when we had a few Estate Agents over to value it I thought I would take a few quick snaps myself and share them on here as I know I have mentioned that we have been working on it a fair bit recently and been AWOL on social as a result! So without further ado, here is my little house tour...

Call me obsessive, but when it comes to interior design I really like everything to match and blend in in a room and I like every room to be slightly different.

Our Living Room is probably the room in which we spend most of our time and I love our reclining sofas and big TV, there's nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa when the weather is a little harsh and watching a film with the curtains closed. Bliss. With the exception of the sofas, TV and carpet of course, pretty much all of the furnishings in here are from Next.

As this house was purchased off plan, we didn't have to do a great deal in the kitchen after me moved in as we chose the style we wanted during the build. One thing I love about this room is that on a summers evening it is really nice to have tea at the table, have the patio doors open and just enjoy the weather. The table came from Asda Living and the chairs? You've guessed it, Next!

A few nights ago you may have seen before and after pictures of our garden on my Instagram feed. When we first started looking at this plot, one thing that attracted us was the size of the back garden. Four tonne of gravel, over 80m2 of turf and 1200 litres of bark chippings later this is what we have achieved, with a little (boatload of) help from family members.

The guest bedroom is the only one we haven't painted, but as much as I want to, I don't think it needs it. The bed and dressing table were two things that I brought with me from home and, like the wardrobe, are both from Ikea. I love the Malm dresser as it stores all my blogging bumph away nice and discreetly. Now I bet you can't guess where the bedding and curtains are from can you?

Finally our haven, the master bedroom. I honestly cannot remember where the bed came from but the rest of the furniture is again from Ikea. I really like the dark wood and gloss white look as you may have guessed already from the kitchen! And yes, again the bedding and curtains are from Next - they're from a few seasons ago now but you can get a similar look here.

So there you have it, my little house tour. I hope you enjoyed it, let me know below and I'll catch you again soon, until then though x
