My Empties Post

As i was tidying my bathroom out recently I noticed how many empty or almost empty products I had dotted around the place and I thought maybe it was about time I ventured into the world of empties posts. These won't be regular features but as and when I seem to have a few items to talk about I might put one up.

Let's start with haircare. I have been using the Garnier Ultimate Blends Sleet Restorer products for a year now and absolutely love them. Not only do they smell amazing thanks to the blend of Coconut Oil (and we know how obsessed with Coconut I am) and Cocoa Butter, but the genuinely do the trick for me. I know some people who have tried this have said it is too thick and heavy for their hair, but thanks to years of dying my hair it is really thirsty and this seems to quench, nourish and truly restore my hairs balance. If your hair is feeling a little malnourished I would definitely recommend trying this out.

Moving onto makeup, the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Nude Mauve is my current go to product when I want a very soft glow on the cheeks. I find a little touch of this powder goes a long way, it feels feather light on the skin because it so finely milled and best of all it is such good value. I have already repurchased this as I think through the summer with a little bronzer it will continue to be a firm favourite.

As you can see the rest of the items here are skincare. The Vasanti Brighten Up Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator definitely works in that in completely unclogs your pores, makes the skin feel softer & look smoother, but for me it was a little harsh and left me looking rather lobster like for hours after using it, so it was definitely a night product. I've got the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish on the go at the moment so at won't be repurchasing this just yet but I did like it.

I know many beauty bloggers, makeup artists, skincare experts will tell you that face wipes are the route of all evil, but I use them every day and have done since I was a teenager. For me they work and I love nothing more than coming in from sitting in a stuffy air conditioned office all day and giving my face a good wipe before having tea. It just refreshes me and means that when I do wash and cleanse my face later on, the products have less surface work to do and can really dig deep instead! I got these in last months Glossybox and as I was out of my usual Simple ones I thought I'd see what they were like. I found they were a little small, not very moist and did leave my skin a little dry so I won't be changing to them any time soon unfortunately.

I was late to the party when it came to Micellar Water, but I do really like it. I love using this in a morning to just give my skin a little boost before putting my makeup on and I truly believe it has helped my makeup stick around a little longer. I don't see how you can be brand loyal when it comes to such a simple product and I've already picked up another brand in Boots because it was on offer ready for when this runs out!

Finally my beloved Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish. As you may have seen in My Sunday Skincare Routine at the start of the year I have some serious love for the product, it's a really gentle polish that just helps get rid of flaky, dull skin, doesn't cause any irritation and thanks to the fact that these powder like grains are in oil as opposed to cream, your skin feels so hydrated after use. This is one of those products I will always go back to but for now I have The Body Shop Green Tea Scrub to get on with!

So there you go, it's not often I actually finish a product and so I think those that are special enough to stay in my life until the bitter end are worth mentioning! I really hop you like this post and I'd love to hear from you below, have you used any of the above?

I'll see you again soon, until then though x
