My Heart Desires | The Homeware Edit

When Paul & I moved into this house four years ago, the bedroom was the first room in the house we put our stamp on and recently we decided to give it a little house-iversary revamp, investing in fantastic new bed. Of course a new bed means new bedding and it looks as though I might finally need to accept the inevitable, Winter is coming.

Investing in new bedding, to me anyway, is just as big a decision as investing in a new bed. Bedding can be expensive and once you've committed to a style that's it for a season at least, yet at the same time a simple change of duvet can totally transform a room in an instance. Perfect for the indecisive like me!

Our new bed is the Cooper Ottoman in Charcoal Grey from Dreams and it really is the bed of dreams for me. I love the huge, winged headboard and button detailing, it's a fantastic place to relax at the end of a hard day at the office and never fails to put a smile on my face.

However, back when we bought our last bed metallic's were the order of fashion and our gold and chocolate set from Next no longer made the cut.

When it comes to bedding I know exactly what I want, not that I'm fussy of course, I want it to be ultra soft, super snuggle and most importantly look the part.

I've narrowed it down to four styles thanks to the fabulous Autumn/ Winter collection on offer over at The Yorkshire Linen Company's website; Alpine, Classic, Heritage and Modern.

The Innsbruck Grey Flannelette Duvet instantly makes me dream of alpine lodges, snow and hot chocolate! I've long wanted to go on a Winter break to somewhere colder than home and this set could be a big motivator with it's large print and rustic colouring.

Naturally I adore the Grey & White Pleated Bands set because it reminds me so much of our existing set. The simple and classic style of this set would look at home in any setting and throughout all seasons.

Scotland has a special place in my heart as it was one of the first places that Paul & visited together and this gorgeous Heritage Stage Duvet instantly brings memories flooding back. The mixture of grey and neutral tones would work fantastically in our bedroom and teamed with a heavy pair of curtains, it would make even the coldest of Winter nights feel cosy.

Lastly this Catherine Lansfield Cityscape set is so modern and chic it could put the sassiest of penthouse suites to shame! I love how bold this print is, however it might just be a little too bold in our countryside abode.

Strangely I could site here all night and discuss bedding with you guys but I think you get the just of my problem; there is simply too much choice out there and the above selection from The Yorkshire Linen Company's new collection are just some of the items I have my eye on at the moment (along with some of their cushions because you know, every bed needs cushions).

So the big question is, which would you choose? Let me know below and I'll catch up with you again soon, until then though x

Some of these items may have been sent to me for review. Please see my disclaimer for more information.
