The Importance of Being Rested

If you struggle to function without your early morning coffee, you're probably well aware of the negative impact the lack of sleep can have on you. When you’re sleeping, your body is hard at work repairing itself, which includes those muscle micro-tears caused by a tough workout.

Never underestimate the importance of getting a good nights sleep. Easier said than done right? When you'r trying to keep all the plates off life spinning, it can seem easier to lose an hours sleep and tick another job off the to do list instead.

I'm not looking for any sympathy (although you can crack out the violins if you like here), but juggling a decent fitness regime with a nine-to-five and my blog can be pretty demanding and some nights I can still be up, typing away until late and the last thing I want to do is the spend the night tossing and turning on a bed of stones.

We need to sleep to rest, to recover and most importantly repair ourselves.

Choosing the right mattress can play a big part in getting a good nights sleep, choose the wrong one and you could be in for a rough night and you won't get the restorative sleep that your body needs after training.

And that's where the lovely people at Leesa come into this story.

Leesa is the brainchild of two guys who wanted to sleep better, who wanted to simplify the sleeping experience and who wanted make buying a new mattress so much easier thanks to their universal approach.

You see Leesa don't offer the standard (and lightly confusing) soft, medium or firm options as part of their range, they simply offer Single, Double and King Size ones. Each mattress is made up three different layers of foam  that are designed to adjust to your body providing you with optimum support and ultimately more comfortable.

This support helps relieve pressure whilst you sleep enabling you to get a better nights rest and wake up feeling great. Unless you trained legs a few days ago in which case you will still probably feel the DOMs, because let's face it Leesa are genius' not miracle workers!

Aside from the fact the Leesa mattress is so darn comfortable (believe me neither Paul or I wanted to part with it after trying out it out for the first time) it is also delivered in a box that will fit in the boot of your car and can be delivered anywhere you like, allowing you to continue with your life as opposed to popping it on hold whilst waiting in for a delivery.

Fancy having a Leesa in your life? The lovely guys at Leesa are offering all HarmonyBlaze readers £50 off a new mattress (just in time for the festive Netflix and chill season), plus you will get free delivery and 100 nights to test drive your new mattress in the comfort of your new home. See i told you they were lovely!

What makes you sleep sounder on a night? Let me know below and I'll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
