Life Update & Looking Forward

As I write this I am on the last leg of my journey to Wales, listening to Oasis & dreaming of a big ass bottle of water and some kind of salad. I guess you could say I'm in a good place right now and I wanted to finally give my YT channel the attention it deserves.

No Results? No Sweat!

2017-no-results-no-sweat-fitness-blogger-lifestyle-yorkshire-coast-summer-body-confidence-img1

Its hard isn't it? Spending all those hours in the gym or working out at home only to feel as though you're making no progress with it all. I totally get how you are feeling, I've been there, I still am there but over the years I've learned to understand why.

Every Body's a Bikini Body*

Each Winter I spend months wishing away the days until I can shed the layers once again and enjoy long Summer days filled with Sun, Sea and ultimately a little self loathing too. You see as much as I love Summer, it is a huge test of my self-confidence.

Being Thankful

I'm pretty certain that by now you will have heard me mention that I have been fortunate enough to be shortlisted for Best Fitness Blog at this years #BloggersBlogAwards. Being shortlisted has got me thinking about this little corner of the blogosphere that I call home and how far I have come so far.

Threads, Treads & Treats | July '17 Edit

As you may be able to guess from this post being a few days late, the end of July really did sneak up on me like a ninja! July started with long, sunny days in Rhodes that were filled with Pina Coladas, Gyros and not a great deal else and ended with even longer days in the office!

Hello August...

Well August, you're one of the months that we eagerly anticipate the most with your promise of evenings in the garden sipping Prosecco, barbecues and the sweet heat of the sun. This time two years ago I was settling down for a week in Sorrento but what does this August hold in store?

The Fitness Files | July '17

I don't want to start this post with the old cliche that is 'how is it the end of another month already', but, this month has flown by so fast that I didn't actually realise it was already the end of the month! So I thought we best have a catch up.

5 Things to Do or See in Rhodes

Although it may now seem like a distant dream and as though I have never been away, just a few weeks ago today I was waking up to my last full day on the Dodecanese Island of Rhodes. I've always wanted to go to Greece and I certainly wasn't disappointed during my time there.

Mindful Munching*

These days there seems to be a lot of hype regarding the subject of 'mindful eating' and it has become one of those on trend phases to say you are going through along with 'eating with intention' and 'intuitive eating'. But isn't this something that we just do naturally anyway?

Step into Summer

I've always been a massive fan of those Chanel Espadrilles that I am pretty certain you will have seen adorning the feet of many a blogger over the past twelve months. However, there isn't a single part of me could ever justify £460 on a pair of rope soled shoes.

My Better Blogger Manifesto

This morning when I woke up one of the first things that I stumbled upon online was Alice Spake's '18 Things I Miss About the Old Blogging World'. Never has a post resonated with me so much. I had already started to put this post together and it gave me the kick I needed to finish it.

Learning to Love Myself

During my time in Rhodes, I spent a lot of time reflecting on the relationship that I have with myself and I deduced that in all honesty it isn't always a very good one. I also deduced that it is probably about time that I did.

Yoga Changed Me

I've always been an analytical kinda gal, the kind who looks for the lines to read between as opposed to taking things at face value and rethinks and replays scenes from life over and over again, trying to find something that isn't there.

Travel Diaries | Rhodes

A few weeks ago I fell in love. I fell in love with crystal clear waters, soft sandy beaches and warmth of the sun on my skin. I fell in love with Rhodes well and truly.

When it comes to nutrition I am something of a novice, just like many of you out there reading this probably. I love to read different views on the subject and to compare different streams of information but man alive its a confusing subject matter.

Every year I go on holiday filled with the best intentions to not over indulge on sweet treats at breakfast, to not only workout my body but also my mind and to come back home looking like some kind of goddess. Every year I fail...

Holiday Packing 101

With the passing of every Summer Holiday and City Break that I am lucky enough to experience I feel a little bit more like a boss with regards to packing. I am no expert don't get me wrong, but I do feel like I know what I'm doing for once!

The Art of Saying No

One thing that I have come to learn about myself over the past few years is that I always aim to please and although that isn't a bad trait to have, it does mean that at times I simply cannot say no to people, no matter how much I should to.

Threads, Treads & Treats | June '17 Edit

Summer is officially here and unfortunately we have past the solstice meaning that the days will now start to grow that little bit shorter again day-by-day. June has actually been a real hoot and as we fall into the latter half of 2017 it feels as though I'm just getting started!

Carry-On Travel Essentials

Now I know that I am far from being a ‘seasoned’ traveller, however, over the past 12 months O have been on more trips and visits than in any other 12-month period of my life. No lie. With that in mind, I would like to think I have this packing lark down to a fine art these days and I thought I would share a few tips with you…

The Night is Young

One thing that I absolutely love about Summer is how easy it is to take your style from day-to-night. In Summer rules are there to be broken and besides who wouldn't want to wear a swimsuit all day when it's as beaut as this?!

Live Limitless

Often in life we hold ourselves back. We limit ourselves with fear and often place restrictions on ourselves in order to live a life that we think is the one that we should or must in order to ben happy. But what happens if we live life without limits?

Paul and I have always enjoyed a good weekend away in the UK, with past adventures varying from long weekends at Center Parcs to a few nights on the shores of Loch Lomond. Adventuring is something that we love to do, especially close to home.

Me, Myself & Running

Hello June...

There is something about June that is really exciting me this year. Maybe its the new home office we spent the Bank Holiday creating, maybe its the fact that I'm sat with the windows open & the sun is shining. Who knows, but I am really looking forward to the month ahead!

Ping Perfection*

Over the years so called 'ping' meals have gotten a bad reputation with the health conscious, the shopping savvy and the wannabe chefs out there. But yes, whilst the majority of 'ready meals' on the market are filled to the brim with chemicals and preservatives, homemade alternatives can be just as healthy (if not more so) than their hob or oven cooked counter parts.

Making Friends, Not Alienating People

Today in England it is of course St Georges day, the day that we celebrate our heritage and all that is good and great about Britain. However, I cannot help but feel that in recent months and years we have perhaps forgotten how great we are.
