Carry-On Travel Essentials

Now I know that I am far from being a ‘seasoned’ traveller, however, over the past 12 months O have been on more trips and visits than in any other 12-month period of my life. No lie. With that in mind, I would like to think I have this packing lark down to a fine art these days and I thought I would share a few tips with you…

The Night is Young

One thing that I absolutely love about Summer is how easy it is to take your style from day-to-night. In Summer rules are there to be broken and besides who wouldn't want to wear a swimsuit all day when it's as beaut as this?!

Live Limitless

Often in life we hold ourselves back. We limit ourselves with fear and often place restrictions on ourselves in order to live a life that we think is the one that we should or must in order to ben happy. But what happens if we live life without limits?

Visit Yorkshire

Paul and I have always enjoyed a good weekend away in the UK, with past adventures varying from long weekends at Center Parcs to a few nights on the shores of Loch Lomond. Adventuring is something that we love to do, especially close to home.

24 Hours in North Yorkshire

I am Yorkshire girl through and through, cut me in half and just like rock I have Yorkshire running through me. So whenever I get chance to explore my home county I grab it with both hands.

Me, Myself & Running

I never thought that I would fall in love with running, it was never something that I wanted to happen and it was certainly not something that those who know me anticipated either. But it did and and I couldn't be happier about it.

Things That Make Me Go Grrr

In a change to tonights scheduled post I would like to bring you one that popped into my head during my journey home from work yesterday. On the whole I like to think that I am quite a cool, calm and collected person but there are just some things that make me go grr.

Hello June...

There is something about June that is really exciting me this year. Maybe its the new home office we spent the Bank Holiday creating, maybe its the fact that I'm sat with the windows open & the sun is shining. Who knows, but I am really looking forward to the month ahead!

It's Not You, It's Me

Yesterday, whilst sprawled out on my picnic blanket soaking up those precious early days of UK Summertime, I felt a pang of guilt whilst scrolling through my social media feeds for not liking certain pictures.

Ping Perfection*

Over the years so called 'ping' meals have gotten a bad reputation with the health conscious, the shopping savvy and the wannabe chefs out there. But yes, whilst the majority of 'ready meals' on the market are filled to the brim with chemicals and preservatives, homemade alternatives can be just as healthy (if not more so) than their hob or oven cooked counter parts.

Making Friends, Not Alienating People

Guys, I'm going to let you in on a little secret here - I am a crap friend. Now by that I don't mean that I am unsupportive, bitchy or a mean girl, what I mean is that I am the least contactable person on the planet.

I Did It | My Half Marathon Story

Back in January I applied for a place in the Leeds Half Marathon with Alzheimer's Research UK. Having run the race before I purely wanted to go a little bit faster and to raise a load of money for a charity close to my heart. But I did better than I could have ever imagined...

Photography 101

A few weeks ago I was invited, by the bods at Carphone Warehouse, along to the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy 8 and a little photography masterclass. Which got me thinking about just how much we rely on our little phones.

Hello May...

As I sit here writing this I am finally looking out at blue skies above, the trees gently rustling in the breeze and can feel the warmth of the sun finally hanging in the air again after months of dull, dreary days.

Another day, another post and another (sort of) revival of an old favourite of mine, my monthly roundup of all things fitness related. But this is a revival & a rebrand and instead of taking a look through 'My Fitness Diary', it's time to dive head first into The Fitness Files!

As another month draws to a close, I thought it was about time that I revived one of my favourite monthly features; my monthly roundup of what I’ve been wearing, where I’ve visited and what I’ve been treating myself to.

Best of British

Today in England it is of course St Georges day, the day that we celebrate our heritage and all that is good and great about Britain. However, I cannot help but feel that in recent months and years we have perhaps forgotten how great we are.

Manahatta Moments

I think by now you will have all of got the fact that I am no party animal and in fact tend to be a bit of a granny when it comes to going out these days. So when I heard that the new Manahatta in Leeds offered a late brunch I just had to check it out.

Ab-Flab to Ab-Fab

Getting a little push in the right direction isn’t something we should be ashamed of, I mean at the end of the day none of us are Superheroes are we? We’re only human and sometimes we mere mortals need a little push.

How much do we really know about our favourite bloggers? I mean yes we know a lot about their online personas but what do we really know about them as individuals? What do we know about their upbringing, what motivates them in life and what goes on behind the scenes?

Behind the Smiles

Until you choose to share your life online, I don't think you can ever truly appreciate what is happening behind the words that you read or behind the camera. Lately I have been thinking more and more about what goes on away from the glitz and glamour of the blogosphere and how I truly feel.

Feeling Fly

I am a big believer that confidence is as much a state of mind that we need to learn to adopt as it is a feeling and/ or emotion that we need to develop. One thing I know for sure is that what you wear can have a massive impact on how you feel.

Life Lately

Wave watching on the Foz do Douro Coastline, Porto, Portugal

Lately it has felt as though life has been passing me by at a rate of knots that not even Concorde could have matched back in its heyday. It has been a little quieter than I would like around these parts and I feel as though a little life update is in order.
