As you will more than likely have gathered by now I am not really known for being a Skincare fiend, makeup yes, nail varnishes definitely but not Skincare. So my beauty boxes are opening my eyes to a whole new world of products that I have never thought of trying out before. My October Birchbox arrived baring the gift of Meaningful Beauty’s Wrinkle Smoothing Capsules and I was intrigued to say the least…
I was intrigued for 2 reasons; the capsules and also the celebrity endorsement. Although this isn’t just an endorsement, it’s a collaboration. French anti-ageing expert Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh and Supermodel Cindy Crawford teamed up over 10 years ago now to make his Skincare formulas available to women around the globe.
The capsules ensure that you’re using just the right amount of product each time and that it is free from contaminants and that it does not oxidise. Each night for a week after cleansing I twisted the top off of a capsule, squeezed the product into the palm of my hand and applied to the skin in an upwards motion as directed. The instructions said to apply to the face and décolletage, however, I found that there was just enough for the face. There was no offensive or overpowering scent and the product glided on easily. It almost felt slightly powdery on the skin and I liked that it left my skin feeling soft and supple.
As you can tell from the packaging, this product claims to smooth fine lines and wrinkles through the use of antioxidants and peptides. Unfortunately I saw no difference or signs of improvement during my trial and towards the end started to suffer from a mini breakout.
You can buy the capsules from Birchbox for £39.95 (unknown quantity) with free shipping, but although I did like the product I don’t think they’re worth the high-end price tag and because I’m slightly concerned they may have started the mini breakout, I won’t be investing and have already moved on,
Have you tried these? What was your experience?
