You might remember seeing this in my January Haul post but I wanted to give it a really good long trial before I posted about it. This is Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder…
This was one of those products that I kept seeing over and over again in reviews and tutorials and began to wonder is it worth the hype? So I popped it in my basket, grabbed a new Real Techniques brush to go with it and away I went.
One problem I often have with foundation powders is the scent – some can be too talcy, some even slightly cheesey but this is ok, it smells light and fresh and is a dream to apply.
My skin can be problematic, I’m prone to an oily t-zone and dry patches on a regular basis so sometimes trying new products can be a little traumatic! But this hypoallergenic formula has caused no issues at all and has created an even finish and even kept my combination skin under control thanks to its combination of Sharon & Yuzu fruit extracts.
The powder is so finely milled and it feels so light on the skin it is really comfortable to wear, t claims to mattify the skin for 10 hours and I would say that this is spot on as my skin looks just at good at 5pm as it did at 7am.
The Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder is just £8.99 and the Real Techniques Powder Brush (which I haven’t reviewed, but lets be honest it’s fantastic as always!) is £12.99.
I would recommend this to anyone who struggles with the 4pm oil slick, it’s definitely worth a go!
Have you tried this mattifying powder or would you recommend another? Let me know your thoughts below and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
