The Max Factor counter isn’t usually my first stop when visiting Boots, however, I spotted this little gem as soon as I walked through the door and I instantly had to have it!
I remember years ago when I was little Max Factor wasn’t the ‘coolest’ of brands, I remember the dated and plain packaging, it being on sale in the local pharmacy and that it was the only makeup brand my Nanna would touch.
I also remember when the brand began to evolve and I had to go hunting for my Nannas beloved translucent pressed powder all over town as the pharmacy stopped stocking it and eventually it stopped being sold at all. But this is when Max Factor caught my eye and I invested my hard earned wages as a student into the lipfinity colours.
The new Creme Puff Blush collection could easily be classed as a low cost dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush range. Now I haven’t used the Hourglass range so I can’t comment on whether or not the look similar on the skin or which has the best lasting power. What I can say is that my bank account is very happy with the Max Factor version.
No matter how little sleep I have had, how dull my skin is looking or heavy my head feels, this little blush pot instantly transforms my skin with a gentle glow and soft colour. I find that it lasts all day and really does the job for me. I use the Nude Mauve colour which perfectly suits my winter colouring and there are plenty to choose from when my skin warms up a little in the summer.
This little beauty is just £8.99 and I, as you can probably tell, have been very impressed.
Have you tried this or the Ambient Lighting Blushers? Let me know your thoughts below and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
