For a while now I have tried various evening relaxation routines out and as I am always keen to try out new things when I heard about the Yantra Mat I just had to try it out for myself.
The Yantra Mat uses acupressure to help relieve aches and pains, stress and tension in order to help you feel more relaxed and rejuvenated by improving your sleep. Now don’t let the spiky flowers put you off as they are crucial to the relaxation process.
So on an evening I like to light one of my favourite candles, carefully lay down on my Yantra Mat and at the moment I can happily stay there for around 10 minutes, covered over with a blanket and listening to some relaxing music. I use the Yantra Mat to work on my back so to ensure that pressure is achieved in the right places I elevate my head with a pillow and lie with my knees bent, feet flat on the floor, forcing the lower spine towards the floor.
Once completely relaxed (and yes I have dozed off before) I roll a little this works: breathe in on my pulse points, blow out my candle and spritz my Avon Lavender room spray around before climbing into bed. I definitely feel that I’ve started sleeping better and able to get up easier in a morning as a result.
I’ve talked so highly about the Yantra Mat that my mum has already purchased herself one, however, by all accounts Holland & Barrett are no longer stocking them so you may need to shop around if you want to try this yourself. I picked mine up for just £13.49 from Holland & Barrett.
If you suffer from sleepless nights because you’re stressed, restless or uncomfortable I would definitely say to give the Yantra Mat a go, I’m glad I did.
What’s your evening routine? Let me know below and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
