This weekend has been one of those weekends where I have had nothing to do, no where to go and nobody to visit. I’ve been able to be really lazy and relax. Which gave me chance to do just a few of the things that really do make me happy…
Have you got your hands on this months Birchbox? This month the box is even more customisable than ever before, you can colour the lid design in yourself. Who didn’t enjoy colouring in when they were little? I’ve really enjoyed customising my box so far and cannot wait to put the finished product on my Instagram this week! But sketching/ doodling/ colouring feels so therapeutic, it really distracts me and relaxes me.
Cooking! Now that Pail is away most of the week working I don’t cook as much as I used to do and I do love trying out new recipes and ingredients when I can. Check out my Instagram page for my latest smoothie creation ‘Cherry Bakewell’ and see what else I come up with! This weekend I cracked out my Thai Green Curry for Paul and I which went down a treat!
Ah there’s nothing better than a little pamper, even when you don’t have hours to do it in. Turn up the shower, slap on a hair mask, scrub up your skin and slather on your favourite moisturiser for an instant lift. I love spending a little extra time on my skin on a weekend, treating my skin to a little Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and Nude Treatment Oil.
I love spending a little extra time in bed, reading blog posts and watching my favourite YouTubers.
Even when it’s a little nicer outside, I still love to settle down on the sofa with the sky remote and catch up on my favourite shows. If you haven’t guessed by now I’m a little bit of a geek when it comes to TV shows, you will not catch me watching sows like Geordie Shore or Made in Chelsea, I much prefer ones such as Suits, Gotham and my current favourite The Flash! How cool would a world where superhero’s existed be?
The perfect end to a day is snuggling up on the living room floor, under the duvet and watching a film with a bag of Metcalfes Skinny Topcorn. Bliss.
What are your favourite ways to while away a quiet weekend? Let me know below and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
