As we officially dive into summer this month it’s time to start thinking about sun, sea and sangria on the beaches as we make the great summer getaway to warmer shores. But as it is still a few months until my first venture beyond the UK borders I have a few homemade plans first…
Time to Laugh … First up this month I am off to see the fantastic Clarkson, Hammond & May Live Show (although I do still call it Top Gear Live!) in Sheffield. This was a Christmas present and I honestly cannot believe that we have had the tickets for 5 months, it only seems like yesterday we were opening the envelope to see what was inside! I’ll be sure to tell you all about it afterwards.
Time to Finish Up … A little side project that I have had on at work comes to an end this month as well. I won’t say too much as I have post planned for next week once everything has been finished, however, I will tell you I can now add laying brick paving to my CV!
Time to Stay Up … For the past few years, mid-June Paul and I have headed through the tunnel to France and down to Le Mans for the World Endurance Championship’s showpiece 24 hour race and loved every minute of it. This year mainly due to our pending move to the North East we will be enjoying the race from the comfort of home with a few friends and bringing the spirit of Le Mans to Le Halifax!
Time to Say ‘Thanks Dad’ … It’s Fathers Day here in the UK on Sunday 21st so it’s time to give the old man a pat on the back, a bottle of his favourite and say cheers!
Time to Get Ruthless … something I said I was going to do last month but that I never got around to was to tidy the winter clothes away into the loft and clear out the wardrobes of unworn clothes ready to move when we get sold up. So this month I will do it and you have permission to tell me off if I don’t!
What are you getting up to this month? Let me know below and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
