Evening Food Bloggers! As you may or may not know I am hosting the #fdbloggers chat over on Twitter tonight between 8 & 9pm (GMT, make sure you stop by) and if you’re a regular to the chat you may have already come across the Get to Know tag, so here’s mine…
Name Emma Harrison
Blog Harmony Blaze
What was your reason for starting a blog I wanted something to do in my spare time and I had been watching vlogs & reading blogs for a while and thought that it might be a nice thing to do myself as I always wanted to work in media growing up.
Whats the dish your most proud of I really don’t have a signature dish at all, and I am quite proud of how creative I have been in the kitchen recently. I really like just opening the fridge, grabbing out a handful of ingredients, throwing them together and seeing how it turns out. So far so good and I’m finding that tarragon & dill are very useful!
What one kitchen utensil could you not live without my little black plastic spoon from Ikea! I use it whenever I’m cooking, no matter what I’m cooking (be it scrambled eggs, overnight oats, pasta, curry…) and also when I’m baking as well because I find it good for measuring too.
You’re stranded on a desert island. What three ingredients do you take with you? Only three?! Ok so I would have to take some carbs so I would go for some rice, some mushrooms and some of my herb of the moment tarragon! I’d have to try and catch some fish or something to go with them.
Who do you take inspiration from I occasionally get hampers from Hello Fresh and find that they are a really good way of discovering new recipes and ingredients.
Your favourite social platform I am always on Twitter & Instagram and couldn’t possibly choose between them.
Biggest disaster in the kitchen? The first time I cooked for my boyfriend I made him Butter Chicken curry and I wanted to make it look really sumptuous like the picture in the cookbook so I added some food colouring. A few hours later it looked radioactive, luckily he ate it and survived!
Favourite spot for coffee? I am much more of a tea person than coffee, but if I go cawfee I go Starbucks!
Favourite food photo you’ve taken? The tapas picture above!
What would you say was your most successful blog post and why? I am never really sure what to say to this question – but I think my Travel Blog that I started last night has taken off pretty well!
Now nominate three food bloggers you’d like to get to know more. I’m not going to nominate anyone in particular but anyone who sees this please have a go and leave me a comment down below so I can have a nosy and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
