So you may have noticed that this months My Heart Desires went awol last week whilst I was away and when I sat down to write it I had a moment of realisation that this month the things that I was lusting after most, money couldn’t buy…
Yes there are things that I would like to buy; makeup that I would like to add to my collection, storage, furnishings for the house etc. but I don’t feel that my heart really wants them as such.
Going on holiday opened my eyes a little. We only get one shot at this thing we call life and I’m determined to give it the best shot I can. I want to travel the world, see the sights and taste all of the delights that it has to offer. I want to spend it with those that I hold dear to me, my family and my friends and I want to spend it doing something that I love and that I am passionate about – life is too short to just be happy and contented, we should be overjoyed and head over heels in love with what we do day-to-day.
I guess what I am trying to say is that although I do love lusting after material objects, I guess the thing I lust after most is happiness and that’s not something that can be bought, but I truly believe it can be earned through hard work, gratitude and positivity.
A short but sweet post tonight, I hope you don’t mind the change of theme for this month – business as usual from September!
Again as with last Thursday nights, this may not have been the post you expected or indeed hoped it would be but I’ll catch up with you again soon with part 1 of my Sorrento Travel Blog, until then though x
