When it comes to travelling I’m not the best I must admit and when it comes to flying I definitely have the fear but over the years I have found a few ways of keeping myself calm, relaxed and fairly panic free…
Keeping calm starts the moment you arrive at the airport by being super organised. Make sure that you invest in a document wallet or purse to keep everything together in so that you can have everything to hand easily and not have to go searching through your hand luggage at passport control or at the gate!
Once on the plane it’s time to settle down with a little music to drown out the noise, I could not travel without my Beats headphones as they are really comfortable and the sound quality is superb, and a good book. This years choice was the latest installment of Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series. It’s amazing how time flies when you lose yourself in the pages of a riveting read!
If you’re travelling further afield or a particularly nervy flier I would definitely recommend investing in a nice roller scent to help relax a little. This little Breathe In roller from This Works blends together a whole boat load of natural ingredients including Lavender and Eucalyptus to help you unwind.
Finally. I have hate going to the bathroom on a plane, I’m not claustrophobic or anything but the whole confined space, the noise and that whooshing of air through the cubicle when you flush… Even talking about it makes me jittery! So I always make sure I have a little hand sanitiser with me so that I can at least keep my hands clean and fresh throughout my journey and they’re great for taking sightseeing and to the beach or pool too.
So that’s it for my little travel tips, I’d love to hear yours so please do let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again soon., until then though x
