Who are you & how would you describe your current lifestyle?I am a health and wellness enthusiast, as well as a Pilates teacher and (very) soon to be a certified yoga teacher as well. I walk my talk, and all he health advice I give to friends, family, and anyone who asks, I follow myself as well.
What type of exercise are you currently doing?I am mostly a Pilates and yoga girl. Though I occasionally throw in some Ballet Beautiful, because that stuff burns! (And because I miss my dance days)
How many times a week?I try to do something at least three times a week, on top of a generally non-sedentary lifestyle. When I have the chance, I workout every day, sometimes multiple times per day.
How long have you been doing it?I have been doing yoga for about seven years, Pilates regularly for about four.
Being honest, have you been consistent? Honestly, sometimes life comes between me and exercise. For example, I’ve had some back problems lately, so my exercising has been very limited. Otherwise, I am consistent because I truly love it.
Are you getting the results you want – Yes or No?Yes, but I always want more.
How do you feel about your current level of fitness?I think I’m definitely stronger and more fit than an average person, but also right at this moment I am not the best I have ever been.
What are you looking to achieve? Why?I’m looking to achieve liking how I look and feel. If I feel good, I feel confident.
When are you looking to reach your goal by?As soon as I can, without giving myself a deadline. Because again, life happens.
How important is it to you to achieve your goal(s)?The journey sometimes is more fun than the final result.
Finally … What would you say to inspire others?Find something that you love, experiment with exercise and health foods, and once you find it, it will be easy to follow your regimen. Also, the only person who is watching you in class is your teacher, so throw away any self-consciousness you may feel.
