If there is one thing that I really enjoy heading into Leeds for its cocktails. In April the now prestigious Cocktails in the City turns 5 and returns to Leeds Town Hall with an all star lineup preparing to transport guests to a Cocktail lovers paradise.
Although I love Leeds as a place to head when I fancy a few French Martini’s, I often end up staying in one venue all night because bars are so spread out and lets face it, its usually raining! However, Cocktails in the City is the perfect event for lazy, fair weather drinkers like myself.
This week Cocktails in the City will once again take over Leeds Town Hall for two nights (6th & 7th) and alongside some of the biggest names on the Leeds Cocktail (& Coffee) scene to give enthusiasts a truly unique experience.
As part of the launch of their 2017 event I was invited along for a ‘mystery’ tour of Leeds, stopping off at some of the venues that will be joining the CITCLDS team and sampling some of the experiences that will be on offer across the two nights;
APERITIVO BY PINTURA Aperitivo is the ultimate food & drink pairing experience brought to you by not only the lovelies at Pintura Kitchen (the basque-inspired Tapas restaurant dreams are made of) but also Lustau Sherry.
TONICS IN THE TOWER One of the most iconic sights on the Leeds skyline is the Town Hall Clock Tower and this April the Blind Tyger will be offering visitors the unique opportunity to climb 200 steps to the top of the tower (FitBits at the ready) and join them for a Gin & very special Tonic.
COFFEE & COCKTAILS | A coffee based cocktail session like no other, join Leeds’ premium baristas from 200 Degrees who will teach you how to make the perfect coffee cocktail using their own, unique concentrate as opposed to the traditional Espresso shot.
CREATE YOUR OWN…Punch with Caribbean Rum wonders, The Duppy Share. After quickly running around the world and learning about all things Rum you will have the opportunity to bottle your own unique blend to take home.
Following on from the success of last years event this Friday has already sold out (darn it) with just a handful of spaces left for Thursday. So if you are looking for a unique night out in Leeds this week, click here and secure your ticket to what is surely going to be an unforgettable evening.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention there’s Pizza too…
