It’s easy to forget the true sentiment of Christmas with all
of the hype, glitz and glamour of the high street. Christmas is a great time
for reflection and a great time to take stock of everything that we have and
everything that we have achieved over the past 12 months, but it is also a
great time to give something back to those that have helped us throughout the
year and also to those we don’t know.
I’m sure today many of you have been wearing your festive
knit’s to the office and eaten one too many mince pies in the name of charity.
This year see’s the annual Save the Children Christmas jumper day join forces
with ITV’s Text Santa campaign – today we have been encouraged to don our
festive knits, hold our very own bake off’s and get crafty.
As well as being able to donate by text (simply send either
SANTA5 or SANTA10 to 70760 to automatically donate £5 or £10) there are a whole
host of ways you can donate too;
Primark have donated £1.50 from each festive knit they have
sold between the 1st & 17th December this year!
Papa John’s are donating 50p from every XXL pizza sold
between 30th November & 3rd January, so get your
friends around and get eating!
Argos & Homebase are selling Text Santa Wristbands for
Interflora have a Christmas Sleigh Bouquet on sale this year
and will donate 10% from each one sold!
Liberty London have a very festive apron & tea towel on
sale at the moment and are donating 20% of each sale to Text Santa!
There are so many different ways you can get involved this
year and by doing so you will be helping people who rely on the kindness of
others to get them through some extremely difficult times.
So whilst you’re sat wrapping presents this weekend, grab
your phone & drop Santa a text, Macmillan, Make A Wish and Save the
Children will be very grateful.
Until tomorrow x
