Fitness Bytes with Hannah Potter

After taking a little (and well earned) break, this morning sees the return of my favourite Harmony Blaze series, Fitness Bytes. So without further ado here is your dose of reality with the shining stars of the health and fitness blogging community. We may make it look easy on our blogs and Instagram feeds, but we’re only human and here’s why.

Who are you & how would you describe your current lifestyle? | My name is Hannah, I’m 24 and I’m currently a fitness fanatic, health food making primary school teacher!

What type of exercise are you currently doing? | I LOVE exercise; I really enjoy running (the longer the better) and do this as often as possible. I’m also a fan of hot yoga, HIIT and a cheeky bit of boxing!

How many times a week? | I shouldn’t, I know, but six times a week!

How long have you been doing it? | Consistently since I was 18 so 6 years!

Being honest, have you been consistent? | Yes- I’m obsessed!

Are you getting the results you want – Yes or No? | Yes I am – I’m running further and faster!

How do you feel about your current level of fitness? | I’m never happy; I just want to get fitter and fitter!

What are you looking to achieve? Why? | My dream is to run a marathon and to do a triathlon; just push myself as much as possible.

When are you looking to reach your goal by? | I’d love to do the 2018 London Marathon and a triathlon by then too!

How important is it to you to achieve your goal(s)? | Very, although sadly work has to come first!

Finally … What would you say to inspire others? | Just keep on trying; when I first started running I was SLOW and could barely run a mile! Now however, I’ve halved my pace and my distance just keeps on getting longer! Thus persistence and consistency is key!

I love how committed to Fitness Hannah is, however, you should never underestimate the power of rest and training six days a week isn’t something that we can all maintain no matter how much we might like to.

Don’t forget you can follow Hannah over on Instagram, Twitter and over at Hannah Eats too. Make sure you pop over and say hello!I really hope you have enjoyed Hannah’s edition of Fitness Bytes as much as I have and if you would like to take part please do let me know, until next time though x
