On New Years Eve I headed over to a friends house for pizza & prosecco so I didn’t want to get dressed up, but I was dying to wear my Frankie Little Black Dress from InTheStyle. I wanted to show you guys my simple makeup look & the dress so here it is!

Quite a few of these items you may have seen before here on Harmony Blaze, but I wanted a simple makeup look that looked quite ‘fresh’ and as I didn’t have lots of time just used what I had to hand.

First up I used the MUA Pro-Base Conceal & Brighten Kit in Beige to conceal imperfections and blotches before using the Matte Rimmel BB Cream Light to create an even base and setting in place with my favourite Beige Benefit Hello Flawless Powder-Up.

To add a little warmth I added a touch of Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer and contoured using the bronzer and highlighter in the Light Sleek Face Form palette. As I was going for bold lips I only wanted the slightest flush on the cheeks and so I used another Benefit product in the form oh the Thrrrob on the cheekbones.

On the eyes I used a little of the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer and their Baked eyeshadow. I love their eye colours as they are so pigmented and I find that they last as well. I then lined the eyes using HD Brows’ Angled Brow Brush and the Urban Decay Twice Baked Shadow. This non-metallic, deep brown is the perfect soft-liner to go with this look. I then used the HD Brows palette in Foxy and their Brow Beater on my brows, brushig the ‘bulb’ hairs upwars for a less polished look.

I only used two products on my hair; before drying I used the Garnier Ultimate Blends Sleek Restorer Oil on the ends and length and KMS Hair Play Spray Wax after straightening to tame flyaways.

I decided to use my Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Pink Pong on my lips as it is so nice to wear and vibrant. I don’t line the lips when using this and find the applicator easy to use.

My LBD is just £15.99 from InTheStyle and is just the best thing to wear for nights in with friends. I really like the oversized, straight cut design of this dress and it can very easily be dressed up or down depending on the accessories. For my night in I teamed it with a pair of wet look leggings and (believe it or not) my Ugg boots! But I could have easily worn a pair of black boots to make it look slightly dressier.

So there you have it. I love this look and this dress and I hope you do too, I think this will be my goto staying in look for January!
