Hello June…

There is something about June that is really exciting me this year. Maybe its the new home office we spent the Bank Holiday creating, maybe its the fact that I’m sat with the windows open & the sun is shining. Who knows, but I am really looking forward to the month ahead!

May lived up to all its promise didn’t it?

We had deliciously warm days, accompanied by cool cosy nights (that were mainly spent watching Parks & Recreation I won’t lie) and finally the Barbour jacket has been packed away for a few months it seems.

Life lately has been a little (ok maybe a lot) mental. Back in March I started my new job as a Project Manager and although I feel like I have taken to it like a duck to water, I have been busier than I could have imagined. But in such a good way!

Aside from that last month I ran my second Leeds Half Marathon (2 hours 31 minutes 47 seconds, not that I’m proud or anything) and although I’ve paid for it ever since, I loved ever single minute of it and will definitely be doing it again!

But enough of what has been going on behind the scenes, what have I got coming up in June? Well…

STAYCATIONING … This month Paul & I are heading off to one of our favourite parts of the country for a very mini staycation (ok so it’s a night away but staycation sounds so much cooler right?). Want to know where? Make sure you head over to my Instagram to find out as we’re there right now!

WORKING IT … Since the Leeds Half I haven’t been able to train anywhere near as much as I would have liked to. Afterwards I was literally worn out and then I caught the most horrendous infection which wiped me out for over a week. So the gym is high on my list of priorities this month, not because I need to go, but because if I don’t I will get the fear and it will be so hard to get back into it!

DINING OUT … Although I have felt a little out of the blogging circle lately (I would say I couldn’t catch a cold right now never mind an invite but evidently I could), I have a few dates coming up this month and one of which is a foodie delight. I’m also taking my mum out for her 70th birthday later this month and I still need to introduce Paul to Cielo Blanco too!

PLANNING AHEAD … Despite not having a holiday booked as of yet, we have set our sights on a week away in the sun at the start of July. Yes we are totally last minute, at the moment we have no idea where to go and have looked at everywhere from Mallorca to the Maldives and even at far flung paradises such as Bali and Sri Lanka too. All I know is that we want somewhere warm, relaxing & beautiful!

So there you have it, June in a nutshell. I also want to read a bit more this month as I have found that it is a great way to relax, I want to start taking a little bit more time out for me and to spend more time working on this little corner of the blogosphere to. I may have felt a little out of the blogging circle lately, but I am so inspired to keep getting a-maze-ing (or at least good) content out for you!

I really do hope that you enjoyed this post, let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
