Ah March you beauty, not only do you play host to ‘national’ days such as ‘Napping Day’ and ‘Water Day’ you also herald the start of British Summer Time as we spring forward an hour and can start to enjoy lighter evenings once again.
I know I say this every month but March is looking like a truly exciting one for me.
March is a month for doing things and last night I headed to see the Kaiser Chiefs at the fantastic Leeds Arena. I’ve been a fan of the Kaiser’s since about 2004 when my Dad brought home one of their early singles and I’ve stuck with them from then. It was a fantastic show as always and I’m already looking forward to my next chance to catch them live!
March is also a month for moving onwards as my career takes a new direction and I finally start to make a living from what I love doing as opposed to from something that I enjoy. I’m really excited to see where my change of career can take me and to share it with you all too!
March is a month for brighter evenings as the clocks go forward an hour next weekend – as much as I love those cosy Winter nights in, snuggled up with a good film and glass of wine, I cannot wait to be able to sit outside a nice country pub and enjoy an evening meal in the sunshine again!
March will see me amping up the running too as the Leeds Half Marathon draws ever closer. Although I haven’t been disappointed with my training to date (in fact I have been rather impressed with my little legs) I know I am a long way off where I want to be so expect to see some more running content this month too.
March will also be a little bit quieter than the first few months of the year with less birthdays and celebrations giving me the opportunity to relax a little more, to spend a little time working on my little corner of the internet and my social feeds too. Hallelujah!
But that is my month in a nutshell, I’m sure it will hold some surprises along the way too but I must admit, I’m looking forward to a slightly quieter month! What does March hold in store for you? Let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
