For those of you that know me and/ or have been frequenting the pages of Harmony Blaze for a while now, it will not come as a surprise when I say that my skincare regime can only be described as lazy. I’ve experimented with different creams, lotions and potions in search of fresher looking skin. But most require too much time and or money to be invested in them. but not this…
…Lush’s Brazened Honey Face Mask is the first mask I have invested in for many a year. I was drawn into Lush’s Leeds store in the run up to Christmas in search of a festive gift for a family member when I decided that I needed to do something about my tired, dull skin.
After a quick chat with one of their product specialists, I decided to try out Brazened Honey on the back of my hand before parting with any cash, if there is one thing I love about Lush it’s their willingness to let you try before you buy.
Brazened Honey is designed to exfoliate, refresh and rejuvenate tired skin by blending together ingredients such as fennel and lime juice. Let’s talk about the time investment first off, this mask is not designed to be used frequently throughout the week, maybe just once even so there’s no daily pressure to use it in order to see the results. You simply apply a generous layer all over the face (looking dopey like me is not a result of use) and leave for around 10 minutes before rinsing clean.
Time cost? Minimal, 10 minutes a week.
You will no doubt have seen these little black pots in your local Lush or online and they offer very good value. Brazened Honey is £6.75 and you can easily get 4 or 5 treatments out of each pot, however, just remember it must be kept in the fridge and needs to be used within approx. 4 weeks of it being made up. Despite this, as long as you think about this when you’re applying it you shouldn’t end up wasting any.
Financial cost?Again minimal, around £1.70 per week.
Results? I definitely saw some good results even after using it for the first time, my skin looked a little brighter and a little happier than usual. Over time I have notice it looking smoother and healthier too.
If you’re looking for a Winter skin pick me up I would definitely recommend dropping into your local store for a chat to see what may work for you and I can recommend Brazened Honey too, it definitely works and smells amazing.
