My Best of British

Happy St Georges Day!!! Whilst we might not make as big a deal of our National day as others around the world, I am fairly sure that we are all extremely proud to be British. Britain has produced some amazing Superbrands – Twinings, Cadbury, Boots & Rolls Royce to name just a few so there is plenty to be proud of!

Love them or loathe them, a few years ago the Top Gear trio of Clarkson, Hammond & May produced a fantastic piece on the ‘Best of British Motoring’ – they filled The Mall with the vast & varied range of automotive beauties & watching this again recently got me thinking about my Best of British selections.

So I thought I would pick one British brand from the four main areas my blog covers & show them a little love.

Beauty – Apologies to those of you who have heard me say this before, but late last year I had no Rimmel makeup in my collection at all. Since then I have tried more and more things from this iconic British brand. My favourite items at the moment are the Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer that I wear everyday for work as they work wonders for my skin and make me simply look more alive in a morning!

Fashion – This was a tough one as there are so many out there but I settled on one that might not be that obvious. For a long time I have been a massive fan of the Superdry label. I have shorts, tshirts, jumpers, smart & casual items in my wardrobe and I have never been dissatisfied with any of my purchases and always find something I want in their stores. Functional, fashionable and not too pricy either.

Fitness – Pure Gym is where you will find me most evenings and I have to say I love the no-frills approach to fitness that has opened the door to more people. For less than £20 a month you get 24/7 access to the gym and all the classes your heart could desire. So hat’s off to the budget gyms out there that do it right like Pure Gym, no messy contracts, no sneaky additional charges, just fitness.

Food – Ah food, my favourite topic! I have to say that we have so many good food brands in the UK, we’re really spoilt for choice and it is so hard to just decide on one. But if you pushed me I think I would have to pick the humble Yorkshire pudding – after all that’s what I am!

So there you have it, four of my favourite British brands/ products, what are yours? Let me know below your top 3 bold lip colour products and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
