This month I seem to have gone drugstore makeup mad! There were a few pieces that I wanted to try, needed or just ended up stumbling upon whilst out shopping a few weekends ago and I thought that I would share them with you.
The majority of the above (with the only exception being the Lee Stafford Wave & Nourish) came from Boots and in all honesty all I was searching for was the solar powder (I was on my 4th visit when I finally found it).
First up was the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder. I wanted to try this after seeing it used on a couple of YouTube videos as it always looked really good on camera. This little pressed powder compact is just £8.99 and well worth the risk.
I’ve wanted to try out the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer for a while now but I had a few others on the go and couldn’t justify it. This is a great low end product that does a fantastic job and a bargain at £5.49.
Another Rimmel purchase was their Matte BB Cream, £6.99, which you will have aleady seen me review a short while ago. I really liked my sample of this and it is one of the few samples I’ve had recently that I have gone onto purchase.
To go with my Healthy Balance Powder I picked up the Real Techniques Powder Brush which is super soft just as you would expect and a steal at £12.99.
I also added two more of the Rouge Edition Velvet Matt Lipstick collection to my basket as well. I love these and they’re worth so much more than their £8.99 price tag. Watch out for a post on ‘Peach Club’ and ‘Nude-ist’ soon.
Now have my new enhanced locks to care for I thought I would treat myself to a Tangle Teezer and quite honestly I don’t know how I ever survived without one. This bright pink beauty was £10.99.
As I mentioned at the start of this post I have been hunting for Soap & Glory’s Solar Powder and ended up visiting four Boots stores before I managed to find it in stock! I love their toiletries and love the look of this sunkissed compact so much. I was very happy to finlly part with £11.00 for this!
My final beauty hall product was one of the new Max Factor Creme Puff Blush range. This looks like a dupe for the Hourglass range and at a fraction of the cost at just £8.99 I thought it’d be rude not to try one.
Finally I have treated myself to a Lee Stafford Wave & Nourish curling wand which is infused with Argan Oil to leave hair feeling silky smooth and looking visibly healthier. This was my only non-Boots purchase and was just £24.99 from Argos.
So there you have it – what have you been hauling recently?
