This year I finally feel as though I have got packing light(er) down to a fine art. You don’t need a million different outfits just a few staples that can take you through from day-to-night, yet always look a million dollars…
Talking of dollars, have you noticed how EVERYONE seems to be heading off to Vegas at the moment? Which got me thinking what would I do if I ever managed to get there? Where would I visit and most importantly, what would I wear? So I hopped onto Vegas.com, had a look at what there is to do, what hotels are on offer and then went (window) shopping.
OUTFIT 1 – POOL PARTY
I love beach/ pool days and love nothing more than lounging around, dipping my feet in the shallow end and soaking up the sun. But I think one thing I would have to do would be visit one of Vegas’ many Pool Parties just for the experience. I wouldn’t normally go for a swimsuit, but I think they just have a little bit more glamour and fashion to them than a bikini. I love this one from Topshop (£36), the vibrant palm print, plunge front and gold trims. Teaming this with a pair of Ray-Ban’s, a plain Kimono & a pair of Rafia Wedges to finish off the look, I would feel ready to take on the day, the pool and the party!
OUTFIT 2 – SIGHTSEEING
I couldn’t travel all that way to Vegas and not spend a bit of time, walking the strip, trawling the malls & taking in sights such as the Bellagio Falls, Caesars Palace and of course the iconic ‘Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas’ sign. Light and comfortable would be the order of the day, so this outfit would have be simple. These H&M (£19.99) Denim High-Waisted Shorts would be perfect for a relaxed day of sightseeing, buffet eating and cocktail drinking, along with a simple White Cami for an effortlessly casual look. The addition of a sporty Superdry Alumni bag would maintain the off-duty look of this outfit, whilst the Raffia Wedges & Ray-Ban sunglasses add a more chic side to it.
OUTFIT 3 – ROLLING THE DICE
I have visited casinos in the UK, but they pale away in comparison to their Vegas counterparts and I would love to just step foot in one of them. As we all know I love getting dolled up and this would be the perfect excuse to throw on my Raffia Wedges, a dress from my favourite designers Blonde & Wise such as this Emma Cowl dress (£130, and let’s face it being called the ‘Emma’ dress it’s meant to be) & pop a gorgeous little Bag on my shoulder! Every girl deserves to feel like a Bond Girl when in a casino doesn’t she?
So there you have it, 3 things I long to do in Vegas and what I dream of wearing whilst doing them. Now all I need is a lottery win!
What would you do in Vegas & what would you pack in your suitcase? Let me know below and I’ll catch up with you soon, until then though x
