And so here it is, the last favourites post of 2015 and what a wonderful year of discoveries it has been! I’m thinking of mixing this segment up next year so this will possibly be the last time you see ‘My Favourites’ in this format…
…But for now, teasers aside, it’s time to show a little love to those products that have made me look, or even just feel, a little better this month!
Let’s start with two products that have featured in my favourite selections before; Soap & Glory’s Solar Powder (February) and Benefit’s Hello Flawless (December ’14). During the summer months, when my skin had a little more colour, and a little more glow, Solar Powder found itself relegated to the makeup archive under my bed as it just didn’t seem to do anything for me. However, now that I am back to being my pale self once more it is once again ticking all the boxes and I love the new packaging too. Hello Flawless found itself in the same position, during the summer months I don’t tend to use a powder over by BB cream or foundation as I find I don’t need it as much, however, now it’s a little colder and my skin is a little more prone to blotching, I do. I use ‘All the World’s my Stage’ (Beige) and I love the coverage, lightweight feeling and satin finish. Perfect for dewy, Winter looks.
I am slightly obsessed this month with Kat Von D’s Ink Liner in Hemingway which is a espresso bronze shade that looks perfect on those where you want a softer line to compliment your makeup. The Ink Liner range is amazing, they’re uber pigmented, long lasting and waterproof. If you’re making a Sephora order anytime soon make sure you add one of these to your basket, you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve enthused about the Simple Kind to Skin range enough recently, but I couldn’t leave their Hydrating Light Moisturiser out of my favourites as it really has helped improve my skin tone. A nice light moisturiser that does exactly as it claims and is as kind to your pocket as it is to the skin.
Finally, just before Christmas my skin went totally off track and was dry, sore and extremely dull. I took myself off to Lush and after a quick chat with one of the girls there I wandered off with a pot of ‘Brazened Honey‘. This little pot contains so much goodness that it will help to remove all of those nasty toxins from the skin, soothe and replenish it thanks to ingredients such as ginger, clove bud and of course honey. Simply apply to the skin and leave for 10-15 minutes before rinsing for clearer, cooler skin.
That’s it for this month and infact this year! I’d love to hear what you guys have been loving so do let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again tomorrow, until then though x
