It’s that time of the month again, you know the one where I witter on about how I can’t believe that another month has passed (but seriously, it’s nearly August, it’ll be Blogmas in no time at all!) and how the year is running away at the speed of something very fast indeed (like Concorde maybe). Bur enough of me rambling, here are the five products that have had me using the heart eye emoji this month…
The new foundation brush – Ok so this might not be specifically designed as a foundation brush, but the RealTechniques Expert Face Brush has now replaced the RT’s Foundation Brush in my everyday affections. The Expert Face Brush enables you to get a much more even finish using less product, allowing you to achieve that ‘I woke up like this’ look without too much effort.
The old love rekindled – I am positive that I had the Nars Orgasm lipgloss years ago when it was pretty central to the whole Nars hype that was going on. This is one of the amazing products in the Selfridges Summer Beauty Box and I am back in love with it again. My favourite trick at the moment is to layers this over Rimmel’s Eastend Snob for a truly sumptuous lip.
The my lips but better liner – this is the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob referred to above. After seeing the wonderful Ellie (The Elle Next Door) sporting & talking about this a few times, and because her lips always look amazing, I thought I would give it a whirl. The formula is smoother that a jar of Nutella and not dehydrating on the lips at all. Plus it looks awesome on it’s own or under gloss, perfect!
The cult beauty polish – I can’t remember if I have had a fan girl moment over this already, but even if I have it sure deserves another. Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish is honestly my skin saviour in these warmer months, taking away all that grease & grime (sexy) from the surface and digging deep to pull out those dull, tired skin cells, it leaves your skin looking & feeling refreshed in minutes. Thanks Liz!
The beauty box freebie – it’s not often that I gush over a freebie as much as I have the clear clutch from this months Birchbox. But this little beauty is perfect for keeping all of your travel documents together in if you’re heading abroad as let’s face it, nobody enjoys getting to passport control and having to rummage around the largest handbag they could find for it.
So there you have it, my top 5 from July! Let me know your favourites from this month below and I will catch up with you again soon, until then though x
