My Favourites – October 2015

So as October comes to what feels like an abrupt end it’s time to reflect on what has been putting a great big smile on my face this month from the worlds of fashion, beauty and for this month at least technology…

Looking at what I have chosen as my monthly favourites I think there is a very clear that Autumn has brought a lot red into my life!

Let’s start with the biggest purchase of the month (in fact if the year) my new phone. My 5s had got to the stage where the memory was always full because I insisted only getting the 16GB version and also insisted on keeping my whole life in it. Not a good or winning combination. But when I quickly realised that my contract was due for renewal days before the 6s hit stores I jumped online & pre-ordered one. Yes I went for the cliche Rose Gold option but I’m sorry it just too cute not to! I went for the 64GB too so I best not get that ‘memory full’ spectre flashing up any time soon…

Next up are my gorgeous Andreano Napoli Gloves.  If you have read this month’s edition of ‘My Threads, Treads & Treats’ you will already know that I picked these up from the airport in Naples on my way home from Sorrento this summer so I have waited a while to be able to wear them. I think they were about €89 and worth every cent as they fit perfectly, are absolutely gorgeous and I feel very ‘Lady Penelope’ like when I am driving in them! You can find some great red leather gloves out there at the moment not least these beauties from Barbour

Because I had new gloves, of course I wanted a new scarf to go with them and well this Red Check & Dogtooth reversible one was a steal at just £7 from Primark. The colour match those of my gloves perfectly and I adore the oversized style of it as you can get really snuggled up when it’s particularly cold out. I think they had this in Orange and Green options too so if Red isn’t your colour you might still be able to pick one up.

Throughout Summer I love keeping my nails in tiptop condition, painting them in pretty coral and pastel shades, but when it gets to Winter I just don’t bother too much. However, this month I got my hands on one of the varnishes from the new Tanya Burr collection and I have to say that may now change because ‘Red Riding Hood‘ as such a nice colour, so easy to apply and wears very well too. You can pick your’s up from Feelunique or Superdrug for just £4.99.

The last product in this months favourites collection is Fleur de Force’s ‘Lucky Star‘ Lipgloss. I love vibrant glosses and lipsticks and so I picked up this and the equally stunning ‘Starry Starry Night’ from FeelUnique when the range launched online in September. This bright red looks equally as good on a night out as it does through the day and although it doesn’t have the staying power of say liquid lipsticks like the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet range, I may actually prefer Fleur’s range because they feel that bit nicer on the lips and they don’t dehydrate them as much and to be honest I think they feel more expensive than £6.99.

But that’s it for this month I do hope you have like this post, if you have it would be great if you could follow me over on Bloglovin’. Let me know what you have been loving this month below and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
