My February

Woah there, where has February crept up from? It seems like only yesterday I was welcoming in the New Year with a cup of tea, in bed, watching Bryan Adams on the Beeb! Rock and roll aren’t I? Moving swiftly on a new month, means new plans…

…and a brand new monthly look forward into my diary. So what can you expect to see here on HarmonyBlaze this month as well as on my Twitter & Instagram?

LATE SHOW | I’m starting the month by heading to The Wardrobe in Leeds for an evening of comedy at ‘Leeds’ only live comedy chat show’. I used to love going to comedy clubs as a student and really looking forward to taking my friend Rob along for a good laugh this week!

PANCAKE DAY | On shrove Tuesday I am torn between indulging my sweet tooth in a little lemon and honey goodness and cooking up a batch of Aunt Bessie’s finest (do they still do frozen pancakes?) and enjoying my last night of pizza and wine before I give them up for a few weeks in the name of fitness. What do you think, pizza or pancake?

GIN & TONIC | Next week those lovely guys at The Botanist are trying to set a Guinness World Record for the Largest Gin Tasting. If there’s one drink I love to enjoy the most it’s a good old fashioned Gin & Tonic, it’s the drink I always remember my grandma enjoying on a Friday evening as we watched Golden Girls together on the sofa and I always remember her when I have one myself.

LOVE & LAUGHTER | Valentine’s Day, a marmite day if ever there was one (in that you either love it or hate it). More often than not you will find Paul and I at home on Valentine’s, enjoying a nice meal for two in the comfort of familiar surroundings and watching one of our favourite films on the sofa. But this year we’re doing something a little different and having a night in our home town of Leeds.

FASTING | I touched on this above and if you have been here a while you will know that I always give Pizza & Wine up for Lent. Now I’m not religious at all, I don’t do it for that reason, but I was brought up by people who were/ are and therefore fasting was something I grew up with. Chocolate, sweets, pop etc. These days it’s more about proving to myself that I can do it, that I can go a period of time without dirty junk food and sulphate filled bottles. I’ll be on the Slim & Gin’s from now mid-month!

And there you have it, a little insight into what is coming up this month on here alongside all of the fitness, lifestyle and (attempts at) glamour that you’ve come to expect too!

Do you have any plans for this month?

Let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
