Last week I headed into Leeds to finish off my Christmas shopping and as all my makeup had decided to pretty much run out in one go I thought I would restock whilst I was there.
First up was something I wasn’t actually looking for, but I love the sports bra’s from Pink and this is my favourite style. I haven’t seen them in store for a while and as there was only one left in my size I just had to have it. They’re really good value for £29.50, they’re super soft, comfortable and most of all supportive.
After a quick cocktail break I headed to the mother ship, the beauty hall at Harvey Nichols! I didn’t get very far though as as soon as I walked in I found myself at the Nars counter. I picked up two new lip colours – one for day and one for night (I have a Nars day-to-night post coming up soon). My first choice was the Audacious Lipstick in Olivia. This a delicious deep garnet red lipstick is super long-lasting and managed to last through a Yo Sushi after I had it applied in store. The formula offers seamless, full coverage after just one stroke and it doesn’t dry out the lips in the slightest. My second Nars purchase was the Satin Lip Pencil in Bansar, I love the convenience of the jumbo lip pencils and find them really easy to use. Bansar is a really nice and neutral rose brown which makes this perfect for daytime wear. The Audacious Lipstick is £24.00 and the Satin Lip Pencil is £18.00.
Bootea is something I have used before and when I saw that Holland & Barrett were selling their 14 day teatox with 25% off at £14.99. It really cleanses your digestive system and makes you feel fresher, leaving you more energised and giving you a gentle ‘kick’ to get back on track. January 1st I will be starting on this!
The Rouge Edition Velvet by Bourjois range has been getting rave reviews and decided that I needed to try this one out for myself. I wanted to try a colour out that I probably wouldn’t normally choose and 06 Pink Pong fit the spec nicely. I have been wowed by the staying power this offers and for £8.99 I don’t think you could find anything better.
My favourite Hello Flawless powder cover-up, I can’t live without this and I always repurchase this when it runs out. I get about 4 months out of each compact so I really feel that the £25.50 is justifiable.
Finally my trusty Simple wipes. I always use a face wipe before washing my face on an evening and Simple ones seem to be the only ones that I can use without my skin drying out. These were on offer at £2.
So there you have it, have you had any hauls this month?
