My Makeup Lookbook – March 2015 Edition

A new little feature for you tonight everyone – my makeup lookbook. A snappy little look at what ‘look’ I am loving this month. Some months it may only change a little and others a lot, especially in summer. But for now here’s March’s Makeup Lookbook…

March has been all about the gentle transition from the paler, softer looks of last winter into Spring with lots of pastel colours and more colour on a daily basis.

Skin – I’ve recently invested in a new skincare regime in the form of La Roche-Posay’s Micellar Makeup Removal Gel and their Physiological Cleansing Milk along with the Vichy Liftactiv Global Anti-Wrinkle and Firming Care. I picked the three of these up for just £6 thanks to the clearance section at Boots and my skin hasn’t looked or felt this good in a long time.

For this look I used my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Ivory and their Wake Me Up Concealer in True Ivory which I apply using my Beauty Blender and a spritz of Urban Decays De-Slick. As always I then applied a little of the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder in Light Beige and my now beloved Soap & Glory Solar Powder to add a little sun-kissed glow to the forehead, nose and cheekbones.

After contouring with the Light Sleek Face Form Palette, I used the Max Factor Nude Mauve Creme Puff Blush. This just adds the perfect gentle flush to the cheeks and is so finely milled that it feels invisible on the skin and looks so natural.

This month I have been loving the Colorband Eyeshadow Pencils from Bourjois in Mauve Baroque and Beige Minimaliste. Using the lighter, shearer beige on the inner corners and blending in the mauve from the outer edge back in. To finish off the eyes I used the Bourbon 24/7 Eyeliner from Urban Decay, a gorgeous rusty bronze eyeliner that glides on effortlessly and refuses to budge and a touch of Roller Lash by Benefit to the centre lashes.

Finally, my favourite makeup discovery, possibly ever, is the Archery Pencil from Soap & Glory, simply brush into place with the spooly and fill in the gaps with the pencil. Oh and not to forget the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Pencil in Proudly Naked.

And there you have it, my March Lookbook. I hope you have enjoyed this post, let me know your thoughts below and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
