My Product Tests – Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

One product that see & hear being referred to time and time again in the Blogosphere is the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Maybe it’s because it is such a cult favourite that I’ve shied away from trying it in case it didn’t live up to the hype? But then last month those lovely people at Birchbox decided to slip it into their monthly box & then something happened…

After rushing to get a few shots of the adorable little skincare parcel that had graced me with it’s presence, I carefully unwrapped the cleanser and muslin cloth. When this arrived I was going through a really bad skin phase, maybe it was the change of the seasons, but my skin was looking dull, dehydrated and down right drab, so I was uber excited to try it out.

And so after following my usual skincare regime I ran a little hot water into the sink, soaked my muslin cloth and applied the polish to damp skin. The cleanser itself feels very light on the skin and is that perfect consistency that isn’t runny when applied but at the same time not so thick that it feels like a bingo wing workout to apply it!

After covering every millimetre of my face and neck with the cleanser, I squeezed the excess water out of the cloth and wiped the product off in small, circular motions. Wow.

The product works in two stages; the cleanser lifts makeup, grease & dirt from the surface of the skin to clean the skin whilst the cloth removes dead skin from the surface leaving it looking softer & smoother.

After just one use I was amazed at the results and honestly I have never seen my skin looking so clean & clear as it did after the first time I used this. I don’t use it everyday but find that even using this just once a week makes so much difference and it lives up to every single, tiny little bit of the hype!

What do you think of the Cleanse & Polish? Do you have a favourite cleanser you think is even better? Let me know below and I’ll catch you again soon, until then though x
