My Product Tests – Rouge Edition Velvet by Bourjois

I am so excited that I have finally got around to doing this post as I have totally fallen for this Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick. Having heard good reviews and with enough Advantage Card points to treat myself I thought I’d give being bold a go for Christmas…

I’m not normally a bold lip type of girl, my collection of lipsticks and glosses is mainly made up of nude of sheer colours. But as I said I thought I would give being bold and wearing more of a statement colour a go for a change.

This collection of 6, bold, matte and longlasting colours has been hugely popular. When I went into Boots I had to rumage around in the little drawer under the display stand and I was so pleased to find that there was on 06 Pink Pong left, it was obviously meant to be.

First of all I really like the sleek look of the packaging and as it has a gloss style applicator and a screw lid you can throw this in your handbag without the fear of the lid coming off in there. The applicator means that you can get a nice and precise outline and you don’t need to use much to get complete coverage, a little bit really does go a long with this beauty.

Pink Pong is a highly pigmented, almost neon, magenta coloured member of the Rouge Edition family. I would say that it is more like a stain than a lipstick as it has fantastic staying power even when eating and drinking, you will easily get a full evening out of this with very little need to reapply. As with most lip products this can leave lips a little dry, but applying a little balm as part of your evening routine will combat this.

If your want bold colour with amazing staying power pick up one of these they’re just £8.99 in Boots and on 3-for-2 at the moment.
