My Product Tests – Tanya Burr Cosmetics

I am pretty sure that is safe to say that, within the blogging community, Tanya Burr is royalty. Wife of blogger, vlogger and model Jim Chapman and Sister-in-Law to the PixiWoo girls Sam & Nic and co-founder of The Lean Machines John. So of course when he new cosmetics range launched on FeelUnique I had to get my hands on it…

I never purchased anything from Tanya’s first range, for no particular reason if I’m honest, but I guess ultimately it just didn’t appeal to me. However, her latest offering has had a bit of a style overhaul and is looking sleeker, simpler and more polished than ever making them more alluring and not look out of place on even the most high-end of beauty shelves.

With the impending Winter months at the forefront of my mind I chose three products that I felt that I would get the most wear out of.

I am not a massive nail varnish wearer, mainly because my nails seem to repel even the toughest of polishes! But I wanted to try out the full range regardless and so after flicking through the range of colours available (there are nearly nudes such as ‘Peaches & Cream’, pretty pinks such as ‘Pick & Mix’ and bold berry shade such as ‘New York Night’) I chose the glamourous ‘Riding Hood’ and as you would expect it’s a bright, bold, cherry red that wouldn’t look out of place on the nails of the sexiest bond babe.

The lid itself pops off the varnish to reveal a perfectly sized applicator that leaves jest the right amount of varnish on the nail to allow you to layer and build up the colour, although the formula is so highly pigmented that if you are in a hurry you can easily get away with just one coat and it dries super quickly too.

I also added one of her new glosses to my basket having heard so many good things about those in her first collection. Aphrodite is a light, sheer cherry red that goes perfectly with the Riding Hood polish. The gloss itself feels super hydrating on the lips, not too heavy or smothering and I absolutely adore the watermelon scent and the platypus applicator makes it really easy to apply on the go.

Finally, the Fairytale Eye Palette is fast becoming one of my all time favourites and a fixture in my everyday makeup bag. First of all the formula is velvety soft on the skin, highly pigmented and long lasting. It even endures my oily lids! The colours work beautifully together; Velvet Cushion is a fabulous all over the lid/ base shade that I can happily wear everyday to the office, whilst Cream Tea offers a brightening, highlighting effect and Alohomora gives depth and definition to the socket. Witches Cat is gorgeous and deep charcoal grey that you can line the eyes with for that uber seasonal and sultry look.

I have been really impressed with the items I have used from the latest Tanya Burr Cosmetics range, they look the part, feel wonderful on the skin and most importantly the look amazing on too.
