My Recipes – Overnight Oats

If there is one meal I struggle to get excited about it’s breakfast! I don’t know why but it is just one meal that I have never really got with, but, it is the most important meal of the day and so lately I have been trying out some tasty treats that are also good for you…

Overnight oats are definitely one of those in vogue meals that will stay around, they are nutritious, healthy and oh so simple to make. I make mine using Gluten, Wheat & Dairy free products to keep my IBS at bay but you don’t need to use these if you don’t need to!

So as the name suggest, the trick with Overnight Oats is to make them the night before and realistically you only need six basic ingredients to make them so they’re not too expensive either.

To make your very own Instagram worth breakfast you will need…

3 Tbsp Oats

2 Tsps Chia Seeds

4 Tbsp Almond Milk

2 Tbsp Almond Yoghurt

1 Tbsp Raisins

2 Tsps Pumpkin Seeds

Once you have put all of the above in a bowl and stirred them well, you can throw in added extras like Honey, Cacao Powder, Almond Butter, Berries, Matcha Powder etc. the list of options is endless, which is great as you can keep changing your recipe up so you don’t get bored. I simply make mine up in a Kilner jam jar on a night before bed and then just grab it out of the fridge and take them to work the next day.

Do you struggle with breakfast? Or are you an Overnight Oats aficionado? Let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
