My Summer Date Night #GRWM

It feels like an absolute age since I last did a GRWM post
for you all so a few weeks ago I thought I would put one together whilst
getting ready for a casual date night out with Paul for food and a film…

I have always been a fan of Mac’s Strobe Cream, however,
every winter it seems to find its way back into storage and takes a while to
make a reappearance on my shelf in the bathroom. Lately I have been lightly
applying a little bit of this to the outer cheekbones at the same time as
applying primer (Rimmel’s Lasting Finish) to my issue areas. To finish my base
off I applied Rimmel’s Wake Me Up Foundation and Concealer, setting the
Concealer in place with a spritz of Urban Decay De-Slick on my Beauty Blender.

Powder wise I used a thin veil of Bourjois Healthy Balance
and a bit of Soap & Glory’s Solar Powder to warm my pasty looking face up a
little. Before cracking on with my Sleek
Face Form Contour Palette I brush a little of the Mary Lou-Manizer highlighter
again to the tops of my cheekbones, inner eye corners, tip of my nose and
cupids bow. I adore this product so much as it just leaves a nice sheen on the
skin and it isn’t too heavy on the glitter.

First of all on the cheeks I put Max Factors Nude Mauve
Creme Puff Blush, blending this out into thetemples and then adding the tiniest little sweep of Illamasqua Thrust
Blusher to the apples for a bit more colour.

At the moment I seriously seem to have the oiliest eyelids
ever (open to primer suggestions) so I’ve not been going to mad with the old eye
shadow because in all honesty it would be a waste of time and effort. Instead I
have been using the bronzey Bourjois Colorband pencil for a chunkier line on
the lid and then just putting a little Benefit Roller Lash through the upper
lashes only. Not only does this give a much lighter look and thanks to the
highlighter in the inner corners, a much more wide awake look than I would
normally sport. As always I added the Soap & Glory Archery in Hot Chocolate
through the brows for a more defined look.

Hair wise in all honesty I didn’t particularly do anything
special and I had already dried it fairly straight so after running my GHDs
through it and a quick spritz of Got2b Dry Oil for a bit of gloss, I simply
pinned it up a little at the back (because it has got to that annoying in the
way stage).

Finally I went for my cherished Mac Soar liner all over the
lip, because it really is my lips but better and was perfect for this ‘I woke
up like this, honest’ look.

When it came to the outfit I wanted to be comfortable and as
we were going to the cinema, warm. So I through on my trusted Superdry Chino
Shorts and Next Batwing Jumper. All boxes ticked.

I really do hope you enjoyed this post and the revamped look
of my blog. I would love to hear what your ‘I woke up like this’ essential
products are below along with any eye primer suggestions and I look forward to
catching you again soon, until then though x
