A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited down to the Neal’s Yard Remedies store in Leeds’ amazing Victoria Quarter to spend an evening with them, learning all about the brand, their products and treatments. Here’s a few of the thing I learned on the night and a taste of things to come here on Harmony Blaze…
… For those who haven’t welcomed the world of Neal’s Yard Remedies into their lives yet, the company first opened it’s doors over 30 years ago now in Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden. They are passionate about natural, holistic health and beauty, promoting a non synthetic way of life.
The Neal’s Yard store in Leeds is tucked away in one of my favourite and one of Leeds’ most iconic arcades. The County Arcade is part of the Victoria Quarter precinct in the heart of the city that also houses other iconic stores such as Harvey Nichols. Behind the ornate facade of the storefront and arcade is a quaint little country store, on stepping inside you are met with peace and tranquility (something that you struggle to find in such a busy city) and instantly you are made to feel welcome and at home by the team.
As I had not visited any of the Neal’s Yard stores before (although I had often lusted after products) I was determined to try and learn as much as possible on the night. Once I had said hi to the other bloggers that had been invited down and the lovely Neal’s Yard PR team I started to have a good look round and chatted to Zoe one of the stores amazing advisors. We discussed the different ways the team at Neal’s Yard can help you to look after yourself – not only do they have all of the amazing cosmetic products you know them for, they also offer herbal remedies for conditions such as anxiety, stock all of your favourite health foods such as Goji Berries & Chia Seeds and also have a team of therapists who offer massages and health treatments.
I also learnt all about their ‘My Best Year Yet‘ campaign, a twelve month journey to improve your health and wellbeing. January was all about the Detox (I have a post on this coming up soon, so don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ to avoid missing it) and this month is focusing on helping you to rebuild your immunity after the cold Winter months. I will certainly be following their tips on how to eat yourself stronger (avoiding sugar, caffeine, fatty and processed foods and getting more exercise and sleep).
I really enjoyed my evening with the Neal’s Yard team and learned so much about the brand and their way of life. I’ll certainly be implementing more of their products into my daily routine and I can’t wait to share my Detox & Beauty Balls kits with you all soon.
Are you a Neal’s Yard novice? Or are you already living the natural life?
Let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
