Photography 101

A few weeks ago I was invited, by the bods at Carphone Warehouse, along to the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy 8 and a little photography masterclass. Which got me thinking about just how much we rely on our little phones.

I for one would be lost without my phone. Not only is it my diary, my connection to sanity (sometimes) and my portable disco, it is also responsible for holding a thousand memories for me. I take photos everywhere I go, I try to capture moments of joy, the highlights from my day and the beauty of the world around me. I love to look back at snaps when I am feeling low, reminiscing and sharing them with friends.

Now I’m not saying that all your snaps need to be Instagrammable, lord only knows most of mine are not, but if you want to improve them a little then here a few little ways you can…

You see, you really don’t need to carry around bulky kit anymore to capture the moment perfectly. Mobile phones have come on leaps and bounds over the past few years when it comes to photography allowing even the most amateur of photographers to produce more professional looking images and share them with their friends and family instantly.

So there you have it, a little photography 101. A massive thanks to Richard Storrow for the photography lesson and to Carphone Warehouse for introducing me to the pocket rocket that is the new S8… it truly is a flawless handset!

What is the best photography tip you have ever been given?

Let me know below and I’ll catch up with you again soon, until then though x
